Certified System Engineer (CSE)

HP CSE Description:
The Certified System Engineer (CSE) certification from HP Certification was established in 2001 and is aimed at students who are currently employed in the Enterprise Network environments, or those who want to find employment in those environments, and want to obtain the Certified System Engineer (CSE) certification.

The Certified System Engineer certification certifies that a successful Certified System Engineer has learnt the knowledge need to design, support and integrate platform, operating system, storage, network and option components to solve business needs. The successful Certified System Engineer certified student will have knowledge of the hands-on installation, optimization, and the management and support of HP operating systems in complex, enterprise environments. These are all fields in the Enterprise Network environments.

HP CSE Prerequisites:
The Certified System Engineer certification is only available to students who have 6 to 12 months experience design, support and integrate platform, operating system, storage, network and option components to solve business needs.

HP CSE Required Exams:
You need to do the HP exam(s) required to earn CSE certification. Because there are different tracks in the certification, there can be different exams for the different tracks. For example:

The exam that is required is the CSE - HP-UX v11 track is the HP HP0-092 HP-UX Advanced System Administration exam.

The exam that is required is the CSE - HP NonStop Kernel track is the HP HP0-760 NonStop Kernel Advanced (Level 2) exam.

The exam that is required is the CSE - HP Tru64 UNIX v5 track is the HP HP0-702 Tru64 UNIX v5 Advanced Administration, Support and Performance exam.
This exam is available in English only.

HP CSE Recertification:
A successful Certified System Engineer student will hold the Certified System Engineer certification for indefinitely.
